THE YEAR THAT AI WILL BEGIN CREATING MORE JOBS THAN IT ELIMINATES

The fear of losing our jobs to robots may be a short-sighted one, according to US research firm Gartner. “Many significant innovations in the past have been associated with a transition period of temporary job loss, followed by recovery, then business transformation and AI will likely follow this route,” said Svetlana Sicular, research vice president at Gartner. The firm predicts that by 2020, AI will have created 2.3 million jobs while eliminating 1.8 million.
