Facebook has released some astonishing stats in its yearly review, but the most impressive by far is that, in 2017, the company’s Messenger service reached 1.3 billion users. That translates to almost 1 in 5 of the world’s estimated population registered for the service. This userbase was responsible for having 7 billion conversations and creating 2.5 million group chats every day, and it turns out the average group chat consists of 10 people.
