Airlines in the US and Australia have announced a ban on smart luggage pieces due to the risk posed by non-removable Lithium-ion batteries, but that hasn’t stopped one company from taking inspiration from the humble Segway. 90Fun’s aptly named smart suitcase uses Segway’s self-balancing technology to follow you around the airport like, well, a puppy once it’s been paired with a remote. While it could be useful to anyone living in constant fear of losing their luggage, they’ll have to wait for the final product, as only the prototype — Puppy 1 — was shown off at CES this year.
