Google Drive is a fine utility to keep all your documents, spreadsheets and presentations safe online without taking up space on your computer’s harddrive. Although searching for a particular file is easy enough thanks to the search bar right up top of the Drive homepage, there hasn’t been any way to search within particular folders. At the time of writing, Google was in the process of rolling out the feature for Drive. So be on the lookout for a ‘Search within (folder name)’ option the next time you use Drive. It will appear when you select a folder saved within My Drive and right-click. Then pop in your search term as per usual in the search bar. The rest, as they say, will be history.
