Paphos Theatre in VR
ANCIENT THEATRE REBUILT ON THE STAGE OF THE FUTURE.
Archaeologists from the University of Sydney are looking to the future for a new VR experience that digitally rebuilds an ancient theatre from Nea Paphos, Cyprus. The Paphos Theatre in VR app is the digital culmination of the university’s 20-year excavation giving you the chance to experience the 2,000-yearold entertainment building in 360°, life size VR. The 8,500-person capacity venue was accurately rendered in the immersive medium by the Melbourne VR developer Lithodomos and is available on the Google Play and iTunes stores for just a few dollars.
