ROBOT CARRIES THE KOREAN WINTER OLYMPIC TORCH THROUGH A WALL
TERMINATING BARRIERS AS IT GOES.
While robots may not be eligible to compete just yet, a humanoid robot was trusted to carry the torch for a leg of the relay. It seems that the task of transporting the flame baton from A to B wasn’t challenging enough for Hubo, the Korean Advanced Institute of Robotics creation, as its creator Professor Oh Jun-Ho added a timber hurdle to its path. Hubo cut a torch sized hole in the wall and passed the Olympic symbol through it to complete its participation in the ceremony.
