INVERT MASK AND PAINT

The automatically applied Layer Mask will be selected and active, so press ‘Ctrl/Cmd-I’ to invert it and change the colour to black so the effect is hidden. Now press D on the keyboard to set the palette colours to black and white and make sure white is in the foreground by pressing X. Press B to activate the Brush tool and use a soft-edge brush to reveal contrast over the face and hair.
