OK, so this one might not be as ridiculous as a high-tech litter tray. The great thing about tablets is their portability — you can take them to the garden, move them around the house as you make a shopping list, sketch on them while walking, read and type on them, watch movies... pretty much anything that isn’t hardcore gaming. Above all, they’re lightweight, which makes the concept of having a stand crafted for them seem a little unnecessary. If a child can hold one up, surely a full-grown human can. Alas, full-grown humans are lazy, so they need the Tablift, which is designed to sit across your tummy when you’re lying on the couch or in bed, tilting the screen to your needs, leaving your arms free to enjoy a beverage or stuff food into your mouth. Granted, you could use this to watch movies or read in bed — but it’s a slippery slope, my friends. First stop Tablift, next thing you know... you’re the human blobs from WALL-E.
