This isn’t the first AR application it has brought to the consumer online marketplace, adding product placement and visualisation features earlier this year, but the parts identification feature is another important time-saving addition. Drawing heavily on AI image recognition technology gained through the acquisition of Partpic, the software uses scale and identifying features to narrow down and identify the component from the million-part catalogue.
