If you have problems organising yourself and keeping track of all the different activities you need to do in a day, maybe you need some sort of to-do list. Sunset Micro Journal may sound like it’s another diary app, but it isn’t really. What it enables you to do is jot down what happened to you today, your thoughts, what you need to get done and also how you feel in a clean and simple way. Each time you create an entry, you can label it with how you feel, either with a happy or frowny face. We weren’t entirely sure what the point of this was until we started tapping the face, and soon realised it was there to give you an overall gauge of your daily and monthly mood. When you switch to the calendar, you can see smiley and frowny faces on each day, showing us, for instance, that we had been frowny all week until the weekend. While this didn’t really carry much weight for us, it was interesting to see our weekly happy/sad trends. As well as gauge your emotions, the app is for basic note taking, creating lists and pretty much anything else you want it to be. We would have liked a little bit more depth in its features, though.
