TAG FILES IN ICLOUD DRIVE
[ STEP BY STEP ] 04 TAG A FILE IN IOS
In iOS, select a file in ‘Files > iCloud Drive’, then open the Share sheet. At the top of the sheet, tap +Tag. Tap an existing tag to add it, or tap Add New Tag, type a label for it, tap a colour swatch, then tap Add Tag. Tap Done or outside the panel.
05 ADD A TAG IN MACOS
In Finder, select a file that’s stored in iCloud Drive and press ‘Cmd-I’ to show the Info window. Click in the Add Tags box at the top of the window and choose a tag from the menu, or type a new one and press Enter. Close the Info window.
06 ANOTHER WAY IN MACOS
Or, Ctrl-click on a file, then choose a tag lower down the menu, or choose Tags to pick from a longer list or create a new tag. Up to seven shortcuts can be listed in the contextual menu, which you can set in ‘Finder > Preferences > Tags’.
