Despite being available for more than a decade, digital photo frames haven’t really taken off. But the idea survives and one company is attempting to reinvigorate the concept, asking ‘What happens when you cross a digital photo frame with Spotify?’ Well, you get a stylish frame that links to your phone and gives you the opportunity of popping your favourite photos into a playlist. Alternatively, you can stream playlists of inspirational professional shots or simply fill it with a single colour. The service isn’t just the Framen photo frame, though — if you have a compatible screen already (Sony Bravia, Sharp Aquos, Android TV or some Samsung TVs), you can just grab yourself a subscription to the app service. It also works with all iPads, some Android tablets, Apple TV, Amazon Fire and Chromecast support will be added soon. If you do grab the Framen Player, however, you’ll enjoy its motion sensor ability too.
