D-Link DWR-118

-

FOR THOSE WHO NEED UNINTERRUPTED INTERNET.

WHILE MOST OF us can deal with an internet outage, or tether to a phone, for others, 99%+ uptime is essential. Maybe you’re mining cryptocurrency or working from home, but the D-Link DWR-118 has you covered. The router doesn’t have a modem itself, but does have a WAN port to connect to your existing modem or FTTP NBN connection. But more importantly, it has a USB port on top, and can run a 4G/3G modem and automatically switch over if the internet goes out. It can also load balance for faster access speeds, and is an easy way to share a 4G connection when traveling, or in a business. The rest of the router is no slouch either, with AC1200 spec Wi-Fi and two large adjustable antennas. The DWR-118 also has three 10/100 LAN ports, plus one Gigabit connection and a WPS button for easy setup.

While it’s more of a niche router, the D-Link router gave decent range during testing, and will happily stream HD media over Wi-Fi.
