Sony WH-1000XM3

THE COMFORTABLE KING OF AWESOME AUDIO.

-

THE LATEST FLAGSHIP headphones from Sony are the cream cans of the consumermarket crop right now, offering up an optimal audio experience without entering the realm of diminishing returns. We crowned the previous iteration of the WH-1000X the kings of noise cancellation, and the third entry into the range only improves on this title, performing admirably in every situation we threw them in. When compared to the Bose QC 35 II, these Sony cans offer a warmer, and generally more pleasing audio profile with more emphasis on the low-mids, a superb sense of space and separation, and truly powerful bass. The Sony Headphones app offers plenty of deep settings to dive into as well, including upscaling technology, ambient noise adjustment, and EQ if you want to shake things up. The same expertise in comfort, construction and aesthetics has carried over from last year’s model, but with slight refinements across the board, particularly in reducing weight and improving lasting comfort. If Nuraphone seems too novel and you’re looking for premium all-rounders, then the WH-1000XM3 deliver, and then some.
