Ac­cord­ing to mar­ket re­search by Roy Mor­gan, Chi­nese man­u­fac­tur­ers Huawei and Oppo have ex­pe­ri­enced far more growth in the smart­phone mar­ket than the likes of Ap­ple, de­spite re­cent con­cerns over se­cu­rity. The num­ber of Huawei hand­sets owned by Aussies has al­most dou­bled be­tween 2016 to 2018, ris­ing from 251,000 to 471,000 users. Sim­i­larly, Oppo has gone from not reg­is­ter­ing at all on the charts to hav­ing 368,000 Aus­tralian cus­tomers.
