This brand new entertainment app is pretty interesting in concept alone. It’s probably easiest to think of Quibi kind of like a mini Netflix. It provides episodes of high quality, specially made shows that are all 10 minutes or less, and it’s kind of perfect for when you just want to watch something quick in a spare moment. The shows on offer come from all sorts of genres and new episodes are added daily. For now, you can catch things like Dishmantled, which explodes food onto blindfolded contestants who then have to try to make the dish they taste from the resulting explosion, and is hosted by Tidus from The Unbreakable Kimmy Shmidt. There are more serious things like an animal documentary hosted by Reese Witherspoon or Around the World by BBC News as well as genuine storybased shows. Whether Quibi is worth the price remains to be seen, but it’s worth the free trial until July to check it out.
