For PlayStation owners this is the must-have subscription service on the market. PlayStation Plus is required to play PS4 games online, so for anyone looking to participate in online multiplayer it’s a bit of a given. It also gives you access to 100GB of cloud storage.This is especially handy for backing up save files, as well as swapping between multiple consoles without losing your progress. The good news is it also comes with monthly deals, which most notably includes two free selected PS4 games to download. As a bit of a bonus it also provides discounts, themes, and tidbits such as skins for games so you can get a bit more value out of a service you’d probably be paying for anyway.

When PlayStation Plus first launched in the PS3 era, it acted more as a library with multiple games to choose from each month. There would be a lot of lesser known titles and old games. Now, you only really get the two PS4 games but they’re usually bigger titles and worth more from a dollar perspective. For example, in March the remade Shadow of the Colossus and 2017’s Sonic Forces were on offer. They retail for close to $100 all up. These aren’t brand new games but they’re still worthwhile and combined with the online services and other discounts, it’s not bad for around $10 a month.
