SLOW SHUTDOWN

Look in the Dock to see if there are any bouncing icons that indicate that an app needs attention, and maybe consider force-quitting certain apps (if they’re marked “Unresponsive” in the Force Quit menu). You can also hold down the power button until the Mac switches off.
