AUTHENTICATION ISSUE
MY MAC KEEPS ASKING FOR MY iCLOUD PASSWORD. WHY? This is quite a common problem, although the exact reason remains a mystery. Go to System Preferences > Apple ID > Overview and click on the “Sign Out” button. Wait a few moments and then sign back in to see if this resolves the issue. If not, try this…
1 Deselect options
Go to System Preferences > Apple ID > iCloud and then deselect all of the features that use iCloud, such as iCloud Drive, Photos, Mail, etc. Then close System Preferences.
2 Open folder
Now open Finder and click Go > Go to Folder and type ~/Library/ into the text field and click “Go” to access your user Library folder. Now it’s time to start rooting around.
3 Empty the caches
Open the “Caches” folder and drag the contents to the Bin. Next, open the “Application Support” folder and drag the contents of the “CloudDocs” folder over to the Bin.
4 Delete preferences
While still rummaging around your Library folder, open the “Preferences” folder, select and highlight all of the com.apple. icloud files and drag those to your Bin as well.
5 Resync iCloud
For the final step, go back to System Preferences > Apple ID > iCloud and then select all of the apps and options that you would like to sync with your iCloud account.
