DECLUTTER YOUR DESKTOP

-

I TAKE A LOT OF SCREENSHOTS ON MY MAC AND IT’S ANNOYING HAVING TO REMOVE THEM FROM THE DESKTOP TO KEEP IT CLEAN FOR THE NEXT SHOT. WHAT CAN I DO? If you’re running macOS Mojave or later, then you can right–click on the desktop and choose the “Use Stacks” option to keep everything neat and tidy. But if you want to save your screenshots to a different location altogether, then follow the steps below.

1

OPEN UTILITY

Press Cmd-Shift-5 to open your Mac’s screenshot utility and you will see a floating bar of options appear at the bottom of the screen.

2

CLICK OPTIONS

Click on “Options” and a menu opens up. At the top of this menu you will see the “Save to” section and a list of predefined locations.

3

SET LOCATION

Select “Other Location” and you’ll be able to navigate to your preferred folder within your Mac and choose a specific screenshot location.
