HOW TO Take control of your iOS device

-

1

BACK UP YOUR DEVICE Click Back Up in iMazing’s right-hand menu to begin backing up right away. Or click the Options button in the same menu. Here you can choose a backup schedule and location, adjust archive settings, and more.

2

PREVIOUS BACKUP To go back to an old backup, click Restore a Backup in the right-hand menu, select a file, then click Choose. Select what you want to restore from this backup and click Next, turn off Find My, then click Restore.

3

UPDATE IOS VERSION Click Update iOS in the right-hand menu. If an update is available, iMazing will download it. Or, if you’ve downloaded an update file (such as in the example here), select it in the Browse panel, then click Update.

4

REINSTALL IOS You can also reinstall iOS if you are having trouble with your device. Click Reinstall iOS, then click Reinstall and wait for the process to finish. This will erase everything on your device, so make sure you have backed up first.

5

UPDATE OR UNINSTALL There’s no need to use the App Store to manage your apps. Instead, Click Manage Apps. From here you can update or uninstall any apps on your device. You can search for apps and see the version number for each.

6

INSTALL APPS FROM ICLOUD

Or, you can click the Library tab under Manage Apps to see apps associated with your Apple ID. You can pick apps added to your iCloud account that aren’t on your device and install them here.

7

MANAGE IOS PROFILES Certain apps or organisations may require a set of settings on their devices called profiles. To manage these, click Profiles. Here you can remove a profile or add a new one, or add one with iMazing’s profile editor.

8

EXPLORE THE FILE SYSTEM Advanced users may want to delve into their device’s file system to export a doc or media file. Click File System in the left-hand menu and browse to the file you want. Take care, though!

9

TRANSFER FILES iMazing can send your files from an old device to a new one. Click Transfer to another Device in the right-hand menu, choose the device, select what you want to transfer, and follow the on-screen instructions.
