Choose your phone’s ringtone

Spice up incoming calls with new ringtones. It’s a simple process to change the ringtone every day if you want to add variety.

You do not have to settle for the ringtone that is set on your phone when you first start using it because there are a variety of different tones available in Settings. We will show you how to preview all of the tones that are included and then how to enable one to be your default for future calls. If you are feeling confident, you can then have a look at your contacts and set different tones for different people so that you will know who is calling you without even looking at the screen. Don’t worry about what others may think of your chosen tone, simply pick one that makes you smile and enable it in seconds. Also, don’t worry if you want to change your ringtone often because variety is a good thing.

HOW TO Choose and enable a ringtone 1

Open the Settings app and scroll down until you find the ‘Sounds and vibration’ option, which may be worded differently depending on the device you are using. Tap this option.

Look for the ‘Ringtone’ option and tap it to view a list of available tones. You will also see a notification tones option, but for the moment stick with setting up the ringtone for incoming calls.

Tap any of the listed tones to hear what they sound like. There will be huge variety in tones, but this gives you many different options. Now tap ‘OK’ to enable your chosen tone.
