Share docs in Files

If you would like to share documents or folders from your iCloud Drive then the Files app can help. Here are the various sharing methods for single files or even huge folders.

Share files

If you only want to share a closed file long-press on it, tap ‘Share’ from the menu and pick one of the familiar methods, such as AirDrop, Messages or Mail.

Tag people

To collaborate on a document tap on the ‘Share File in iCloud’ option, set the Share Options (who can access it and what they can do), and then send them a link.

Sharing folders

Folders may be too big to share. Tap on the ‘Compress’ option to zip the folder first and then press and hold on it again to see if the ‘Share’ option is now present.
