LOCK OFF THE CAMERA Don’t just throw the tripod into place and hope for the best. First, walk around the scene handholding the camera, trying out different angles at various shooting heights. When you are happy with the composition, introduce the tripod, making sure that it is both steady and level so that it won’t tip or rock. If you are in a windy location, hang your bag off the tripod for ballast.
