INTRODUCE A FILTER If the light is too bright, use a filter to reduce the amount of light passing through the lens and onto the sensor. An ND filter may be overkill and make it too hard to achieve a balanced exposure, so try using a circular polarising (CPL) filter. Not only will it reduce light passing through, but it also adds the benefit of removing sheen from the water’s surface when rotated.
