Clarity vs Texture

-

Sitting alongside Clarity in the Basic Panel, the Texture slider is another useful tool for enhancing details. Each slider works in slightly different ways. Texture has a stronger effect on fine details in an image – sometimes called high-frequency detail. Clarity, on the other hand, works more on lower-frequency details. Applying negative Texture is a very effective way to soften skin when the effect is painted in with the Adjustment Brush: it results in a general smoothing of tones and colours, while retaining fine detail in the skin pores.
