AI provides solution for 4K gaming on Switch Pro
Nintendo could offer next-gen resolution output.
A Bloomberg article quoting sources
‘close to the matter’ has stated that
Nintendo Co. will use a new Nvidia chip capable of running the company’s Deep Learning Super
Sampling (DLSS) technology to upscale game output to 4K. While the
Switch Pro is expected to receive an
OLED display there’s no word that it’ll be higher resolution than the current 720p Switch. The DLSS upscaling would instead be utilised when the console is docked and connected to a 4K screen.
