HOW TO Selectively focus with precision

FOCUS LOUPE By default, Halide sets focus manually. After tapping the AF button you can focus manually by swiping a slider. The “+” icon lets you summon the new focus loupe. This magnifies part of the scene to help you check sharpness.

FOCUS PEAKING Tap the focus peaking button for an alternative way to focus. As you swipe the focus slider, the sharpest objects will feature the strongest green outlines. Here we’ve used peaking to focus on the foreground.

EXTRA TOOLS Most of Halide’s tools are hidden until needed. Swipe left from the shutter button to access extra tools such as manual White Balance. Here we’ve chosen a Cloud WB preset to help capture accurate colors on a dull day.
