How to Customise your desktop
1 CHANGE PICTURE Big Sur comes with 40 new desktop wallpapers, including different phases as they change during the day. To choose one, go to System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver > Desktop Pictures and make your selection.
2 ADD AN ACCENT COLOUR To change the color of buttons and sidebar glyphs in apps, go to System Preferences > General and choose a colour from the Accent menu. Multicolor leaves apps at the developer’s default colours.
3 CHANGE THE SIDEBAR Big Sur’s full-height sidebars in windows allow for more or bigger icons. To add more, go to Finder > Prefs > Sidebar. To make them bigger, it’s System Prefs > General > Sidebar icon size and small, medium or large.
