The Tallywhacker
A loud ceiling-mounted doorstop spring for noisy neighbours. $TBC | redd.it/nrmh9h
The Tallywhacker is one of the more ridiculous tech inventions we’ve seen in a while. This creation was added to the Arduino Reddit board by u/ MealsWheeled as a passiveaggressive reminder to his upstairs neighbour that their building’s floor doesn’t have enough acoustic insulation, so it can be pretty loud at times. The voice activated contraption connects into Google’s smart home network and uses an arm to flick one of those coiled door stoppers that wobbles around loudly after being sprung. Cool.
