Sourcing prospective properties to sell has been difficult during the pandemic because of the reduced ability to go door-knocking for potential clients. US companies like Compass are turning to AI to try to narrow down the list of households most likely to sell in the next year so it can build relationships with clientele before they choose an agent. The tool uses variables like neighbourhood sale rate, recent sale price, and appreciation to estimate houses most likely to sell, and led to 94 percent higher ‘win rate’ for listing agents.
