Why use a password manager?
If you have been relying on the same passwords to protect all your accounts, you need a password manager like Bitwarden ( bitwarden.com). This allows you to create a secure vault inside which all your sensitive data – passwords, credit card details, and so on – can be stored safely. The vault is encrypted using a master password, the only one you need to remember going forward. (Make sure it’s a long one, with numbers, such as “WelcomeToTheJungle1987” – so long as it’s not easily guessable.)
