Multi-user access

-

Data Crow supports multiple users, enabling you to grant others varying levels of access to your collections, from read-only to full editing capabilities. Click the User icon followed by the green ‘+’ button to set up a user. Fill in the details on the Summary and Information tab – key fields include Name and Login Name, and don’t forget to tick Enabled so the user is active. Control access via the Module Permissions tab – this gives you control over their access on a module-by-module basis. By default, users have view-only access to all your modules, but click Edit to deny all access or extend full editing rights to that module.

After you click Save, the user is able to log in with their username and a blank password – to assign a password to their account, right-click their entry, and choose Change password. While you’re here, be sure to assign the main administrator user a password, too, via User > Change Password, unless you’re running Data Crow as a server-client setup using a Docker image, rather than the standalone packages. Check out the Server Install box for more details of setting this up.
