AI lawyer can poke holes in opposing counsel’s arguments

-

Machine learning is getting good at sniffing out unsubstantiated legal arguments. clearbrief.com

Seattle-based startup Clearbrief is using a language-based AI system to assess how substantiated legal briefings are in order to assess the strength of legal cases. The AI system is essentially responsible for fact checking legal arguments based on the evidence that accompanies a statement and can report on how substantiated each component of an argument is in order to help clients pick holes in accounts. It should also be pretty good at marking essays by the sounds of things.
