AI resurrects hidden Picasso

Art restoration company Oxia Palus has used AI to recreate a Picasso painting that is hidden underneath The Blind Man’s Meal. The artist was believed to have painted over the original in 1903 in order to save money on a new canvas, but Oxia Palus used x-ray imaging to uncover the outlines of the original and then used an AI trained on Pablo Picasso’s style of painting to recreate the type of brushstrokes he may have used.
