The Mac’s menu bar houses shortcuts for performing system commands and accessing functions of some third-party apps. As of Big Sur, many of Apple’s are combined into Control Center, although bespoke Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Sound menu items can be added via their panes in System Preferences. With these, and third party menu items, always ask yourself whether their presence is performing a service that enhances your Mac experience. If not, Command-drag the item from the menu bar. If that’s not possible, disable it in the parent app’s preferences to make it disappear.
