PRUNE LOGIN ITEMS
If an app opens unexpectedly when your Mac boots, open System Preferences. In Users & Groups, select your user, and then Login Items. Select or delete any app you don’t want there. In some cases, you’ll instead need to tweak an app’s preferences so it – or a component like a menu item – won’t auto–launch. Alternatively, manually delete launch items from ~/Library/LaunchAgents, / Library/LaunchAgents, and /Library/LaunchDaemons. Be mindful this might affect your Mac experience if hardware or an app requires a component to load on startup to function.
