Check your breathing
The new respiration feature in watchOS 8 will automatically check your breathing rate while you are asleep. You do not need to set it up, but you do need to enable the sleep tracking function for it to do the tracking. If you take the time to read up on why your respiratory rate is so important, you will likely enable the feature.
1A simple graph
Hidden in the Sleep stats within Apple Health, you will see your respiratory rate. It makes sense to keep an eye on it to find any sudden changes.
2Bring it down
The new Wind Down feature is a simple change that may bring your breathing rate down a little by helping you fall sleep quicker. Every little change will help.
3 Compare and contrast
You should compare your breathing rate when asleep, to the amount of sleep you actually get, to ensure that they are consistent. Big changes will show up instantly.
