AI recreates Andy Warhol’s voice in Netflix doco

A new Netflix documentary series has trained an AI algorithm to sound like Andy Warhol in order to read out entries from the late artist’s diary. The team were only able to scrounge a little over three minutes of original audio recordings to train the software so there’s some parts that are read by actor Bill Irwin and some manual tweaks of the AI Warhol output. The documentary team sought permission from the Andy Warhol Foundation before recreating his voice for the show.
