Cloud gaming has come in leaps and bounds over the past year or so. Both Microsoft and now GeForce have introduced products into the market that allow games to be played on almost any device, anywhere and at any time – although you might need to hold onto your controller.

Geforce Now has a native app on most devices, other than iOS, which uses Safari as its conduit to play. It also has partnered with Perth ISP Pentanet to supply local servers for that all important low latency.

It works – incredibly well. Unlike Xbox, your subscription to GFN only provides access, not games as well, so you will need to have supported titles on Steam, Epic, Ubisoft or EA launchers. Games run extraordinarily well, in many cases better than Remote Play for a local PS5 or Xbox Series X. Latency is very low, and games look extraordinarily crisp.
