HOW TO Organise people pictures
1 REMOVE PEOPLE
Click on the Library panel. Here you’ll see profile pictures of people already gathered by Photos. Type in their text field to identify them. To remove a stranger, Ctrl-click on their image and choose Remove this Person.
2 BACK UP IMMEDIATELY
In addition to turning on automatic backups, you can make ad-hoc backups. In Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > iCloud Backup, under the toggle switch, tap Back Up Now. This will initiate a new backup of your device.

CONFIRM ADDITIONAL PHOTOS Double-click on a person’s key photo to see more pictures. Scroll down and click Confirm Additional Photos. Review potential shots of that person by clicking Yes or No.

FAVOURITE PEOPLE At the bottom of a person’s page are commands, such as the option to add them to Favourites. This places them in a larger thumbnail at the top of the main People album. You can view photos of them on a map.

MERGE PEOPLE Photos may have incorrectly given one person two separate thumbnails in the People Album. Shift-click to select both thumbs. Ctrl-click and choose Merge 2 People. Click Yes to confirm they are the same person.

RESTORE PEOPLE If you accidentally remove a person from the People album, go to the Library and double-click on that person’s thumbnail. Scroll down and double-click on their People icon. Scroll down and click “Add [name] to People”.

KEY PHOTO To choose the best shot to identify a person’s collection of photos, double-click on their thumbnail. Click Show More. Ctrl-click on a new thumbnail and choose make Key Photo from the pop-up menu.

MAKE A MEMORY To create a Memory of a particular person, double-click on their thumbnail in the People album, scroll down and click Create Photo Memory. A new animated memory will appear at the top of the Memories album.
