HOW TO Manage extension permissions in Chrome
1To unlock the new Permissions panel in Chrome 100, type chrome:flags in the browser’s address bar then press Enter to access the Experiments page. Find the entry Extensions Menu Access Control 1 , select Enabled 2 and relaunch Chrome.
2When you visit a website, you’ll see an eye icon 1 next to the jigsaw piece in the extensions toolbar. Click this and select Permissions 2 to see a list of your extensions and whether they’re always active on all sites, just the current site or only when clicked.
3To change the default permission setting for the website you’re viewing, click ‘Choose your default setting’ 1 . Here you can allow all extensions to read and change data on the site, block them all from doing so or customise their permissions individually 2 .
