TAINTED LOVE

-

Teens clashing with parents over who they can and can’t date isn’t unusual. When Sarah Johnson’s parents Alan, 46, and Diane, 52, found out their 16-yearold was dating 19-year-old high school drop-out Bruno Santos, they demanded she end the relationship.

But Sarah continued to see him behind their backs.

When they discovered Sarah was sleeping at Bruno’s apartment, Alan went to fetch her, even threatening to call police and press statutory rape charges against Bruno. Sarah was enraged.

Back home, she grabbed a gun the family had in the house and shot her mother in the head while she slept.

She then went to the bathroom where her father was showering and shot him in the chest.

Sarah called police, claiming an intruder had broken in and murdered her parents.

Police suspected Bruno of the killings, but Sarah’s behaviour when police removed her parents’ bodies raised red flags.

‘Most 16-year-olds would be hiding,’ said Sheriff Walt Femling. ‘They would not want to sit there on a fence
