Cha momile
Chamomile tea is good for digestion and has calming properties. But there are also two types of chamomile oil – Roman and German. Both have analgesic properties and can be used to treat headache by applying one or two drops to the temple or neck. A few drops in your moisturiser, shampoo and conditioner can help with youthfullooking skin and hair. A few drops of Roman chamomile rubbed into the abdomen can soothe wind pain. The blue German chamomile is better suited to more chronic conditions. Its antiinflammatory properties make it good for some bowel problems, and PMS in women. For these, use as a compress – apply to a damp cloth and press on skin with the oiled side outwards. Chamomile can react with some prescription medicines so check with your GP first.
