WHAT IS IT Ulcerative colitis?

This chronic condition where the large intestine becomes inflamed causes pain, diarrhoea and bleeding. The exact cause isn’t known, but the immune system may trigger abnormal reactions in the intestine. It’s treated with medication, diet and sometimes surgery.
