MAGIC CLASS
For kids – and big kids! – a school in California is offering magical classes.
The Grey School of Wizardry offers more than 450 classes in 16 magical departments.
Students aged 11 and over can study the arts of Divination, Alchemy and Magickal Sciences, Beast Mastery and even Dark Arts.
Rather than in a castle, courses are largely taught online.
Inspired by JK Rowling’s Harry Potter books, the school has four houses – Salamanders, Undines, Sylphs and Gnomes.
Headmaster Oberon Zell-Ravenheart said he’d first thought of opening a wizarding school in the 1960s, but it wasn’t until 2004 that the virtual academy was launched.
