Try a new use for ... Tinsel

Make confetti, which can be used to decorate your Christmas table or line gift boxes, by holding the tinsel in one hand and running a pressed thumb and finger along the garland, freeing the fringe.

Cut tinsel up into pieces and tie bows. Use instead of ribbon to top presents. For festive hair, make a ponytail with a band and wrap around a piece of tinsel. Secure in place with bobby pins.
