3TASTY GLAZES FOR ham

(PREPARE GLAZE UP TO A DAY AHEAD)

To store ham on the bone, soak a ham bag or pillowcase in a mix of 1 litre water and 2 tblsps white vinegar. Wring out. Place ham in bag or case. Repeat process every five days or when bag dries out. Store in the fridge for two weeks.

GINGER PINEAPPLE GLAZE

Combine ½ cup ginger marmalade and 2 tblsps each brown sugar and pineapple juice in a small saucepan. Cook as on left.

MAPLE BALSAMIC GLAZE

Combine ½ cup each maple syrup and brown sugar and 2 tblsps balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan. Cook over a low heat for a few minutes, or until combined and bubbling.

ORANGE MUSTARD GLAZE

Combine ½ cup orange marmalade and 1 tblsp each fresh orange juice and Dijon mustard, 2 cloves crushed garlic and salt and pepper in a small saucepan. Cook over a low heat for a few minutes, or until combined and bubbling.
