SUPER CENTENARIAN
At 101, Whang-od Oggay is the oldest tattoo artist on the planet.
Living in a remote part of the Philippines, Whang-od still works seven days a week.
Using the batok-style of tattooing, with ink made from charcoal and water, she hand-taps into the skin with a thorn.
In the past, men in Whang-od’s tribe were tattooed to mark killing their first enemy.
Now, she mostly inks tourists.
‘I do more selfies then tattoos these days,’ she laughed.
