Although she had nothing to do with the tragic murders, the internet searches of Chris Watts’ mistress Nichol Kessinger also attracted media attention.
Apparently realising her likeness to Amber Frey, the mistress of a man who murdered his wife and unborn child, Nichol began googling that case.
As well as looking up did people hate Amber Frey?, Nichol researched how much money Frey made in her book deal and her net worth.
Like Chris, the man Amber had an affair with, Scott Peterson, murdered his wife Laci who was eight months pregnant with their son Connor.
Amber Frey came forward to say she had been dating Scott and police used her, wearing a wire, to try and get information or a confession from Scott.
In 2004, Scott was found guilty of murder and sentenced to death. He still remains on death row today.
After testifying at his trial, Amber wrote a book, Witness, about their deadly affair.
